Auskick – You’re on the winning team!

G’day boys, girls and parents,

We would like to WELCOME you to the Auskick team.

Auskick is the Australian Football League?s key introductory program for primary school-aged boys and girls and their families. Through a WEEKLY COACHING PROGRAM you will learn the skills of the game through appropriately modified activities and rules, play football in a fun and safe environment and make plenty of new friends too!

PARENTS – did you know that the program was supported by more than 18,000 volunteers around the country last year? THIS TEAM IS FOR YOU TOO! The involvement of parents is an integral component of the success of the program, so we encourage you to get out of the car and get involved. Your centre coordinator and coach will provide you with all the help and advice you need. You do not need to have a background in the game, just the willingness to spend more time with your children, learn new skills, get active and make new friends.

Auskick is RUN BY THE COMMUNITY FOR THE COMMUNITY!

As a parent myself, I know there are always some questions.

Is it OK for boys and girls?
You bet it is; everyone is involved.

Is it OK for kids and their parents?
It sure is, so get mum and dad involved. It’s run by the community for the community.

Is it fun?
You’re joking, is footy fun? It’s the greatest game in the world.

Is it safe?
Auskick has been developed with fun and safety as its prime drivers. Each centre has coordinators at the helm to answer
any of your questions and provide the right guidance.

Will it work for very young kids?
Auskick starts with five-year-olds and teaches kids fundamental motor skills.

What will we get out of it?
Everyone, boys, girls and parents, will learn the skills of the best game in the world and be physically active while new friends.
Auskick is for life.

Anything else I need to know?
Yep, if you have a go, you’ll end up fitter and healthier and discover part of yourself you never knew existed.
